Assorted Projects for America's Premiere Spaceport

When I signed on at PETERMAYER, I didn’t know we were agency-of-record for NASA’s consumer arm, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. I was never formally the client's writer/creative director, but as an MIT-certified Aerospace Engineer, I’d have been a fool not to beg the acting CD, Troy Leyenaar, for any of his backfill. In my few (but worthy) assignments, I led an NYC Times Square takeover including 3D OOH and matching/geo-fenced banners for everyone in the NYC area. TV/OLV-wise, I got to hit the editing bay to revise our “DISCOVER SOMETHING REAL” campaign for the Kennedy’s seasonal “Holidays in Space” event. Copy-wise, I got to put up a few headlines during our anti-”Epic Universe” campaign, billboards and radio placements across the Orlando Metro taunting Universal Studios’ guests to remember our real universe is way more epic than any park. Locals took note. Ultimately, this work helped land Kennedy Space Center as the #1 Tourism Destination in the US, or so says TripAdvisor. I was just happy to put up an expansive collection of work, despite never even meeting the client.
